La
Joie de Vivre

The huge cockpit in the 473 is one
of the best features of the vessel. With dual wheels separated from
the main seating area, La Joie de Vivre has ample room in the cockpit. This
sets her apart from most all other monohulls available for charter. A large bimini covers the entire
cockpit area.
Custom cushions are
fitted over the seating areas. Storage is available on both sides of
the main cockpit area with massive extra storage under each helm seat.
Wet storage for snorkel gear can be found on the transom along with a
swim ladder next to the hot/cold water shower.

All lines (including the main halyard) are controlled from the cockpit.
The Main is a full battened traditional main with lazyjacks and sailbag.
The halyard and mainsheet lead to an electric winch.
The main sail uses single line reefing for ease of handling.

The jib is rollerfurl led along the port side back to the port helm
station for easy access. Mast pulpits increase safety while working
on deck. The anchor locker holds the windlass and snubber. Once you
release the sails and let her spread her wings, you'll realize what a
gem she is to sail. Her 43.8' waterline gives her an amazing top speed.
